The MH-60R Seahawk is the U.S. Navy’s primary carrier based maritime combat helicopter, designed to dominate the undersea and surface battlespace. It replaces several older Seahawk variants by combining their missions into a single, highly capable platform. The MH-60R is optimized for anti submarine warfare and anti surface warfare. It also supports search and rescue, logistics, and naval special operations. These allow the aircraft to detect, track, and engage submarines and surface threats in all weather conditions.
