HMS Daring is the lead ship of the Royal Navy Type 45 air defense destroyers. The destroyer’s primary air defense system is the Sea Viper missile system, which uses the SAMPSON active electronically scanned array radar. This system allows simultaneous tracking of multiple targets at long range, providing fleet wide protection against saturation attacks.
