The Euro Hawk is a high-altitude, long-endurance unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) designed for strategic intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions. Developed as a derivative of the U.S.-origin RQ-4 Global Hawk platform, the Euro Hawk represents a collaboration between Northrop Grumman and Germany’s EADS (now Airbus Defence & Space), combining American UAV technology with European mission systems.

Designed primarily for persistent surveillance, the Euro Hawk can operate at altitudes above 50,000 feet, covering vast areas with unmatched endurance. Its primary role is ISR, offering real-time intelligence for military planners and strategic operations, and it is equipped with state-of-the-art sensors, including synthetic aperture radar (SAR), electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) cameras, and signal intelligence (SIGINT) payloads.
